Crafts and cultural events in Aubagne

At the Chapelle des Pénitents-Noirs located in the old town of Aubagne, there is room for contemporary creation. The permanent collection of the art center of the city of Aubagne is dedicated to current visual art but also makes room for different artistic disciplines. The Pénitents-Noirs also offer temporary exhibitions.

On the craft side, visit the Poteries Ravel workshop. The family factory has been making pottery and ceramics for more than 180 years and has authentic and recognized know-how. From working the clay to firing, the entire production chain is internalized. The factory is open Monday to Saturday and offers free tours of its workshop on Thursday mornings.


Taste the Provençal terroir in Aubagne

On Saturday and Sunday mornings, the large Aubagne greengrocers market takes place on the Cours Voltaire. A real Provençal market, it will allow you to stroll among the stalls of greengrocers and producers in the region. A space in the market is also dedicated to local producers.


Aubagne the city of Marcel Pagnol

Aubagne is the birthplace of the famous Provençal writer Marcel Pagnol. You can visit Marcel Pagnol's birthplace, inside which the Pagnol family's apartment has been reconstructed with period objects and discover an exhibition space.
